LeBron James, a professional basketball player, is vacationing in the Turks & Caicos Islands with his wife Savannah and their three children. 

Over the weekend, James and his family arrived at the TCI. The British Overseas Territory, situated immediately south of the Bahamas, has been the destination of several family vacations for the James family. James, 37, invited a handful of his boys Bronny and Bryce’s basketball teammates and pals to join the family on vacation. 

James shared candid photos of the group eating lunch with his more than 125 million Instagram followers to give them a glimpse of his free time.

Why go to Turk's and Caicos?

British foreign territory in the West Indies called the Turks & Caicos Islands. It comprises two groups of islands that are physically a part of The Bahamas and are located north of Hispaniola in the southeast. Since 2003, the Turks and Caicos Tourist Board have organized and staged an annual series of performances during this season dubbed the Turks & Caicos Music and Cultural Festival in order to increase tourism during the Caribbean low season of late July. This music festival, which lasts for about a week, is held in a temporary bandshell at The Turtle Cove Marina in The Bight on Providenciales. 

Previous performers have included Boyz II Men, LL Cool J, Alicia Keys, Billy Ocean, Kenny Rogers, Michael Bolton, Ludacris, Chaka Khan, and Lionel Richie. Each year, more than 10,000 individuals come. Every year in late winter, thousands of humpback whales travel through the Turks Island Passage close to Salt Cay and Grand Turk.
